MGHPCC Maintenance Shutdown

The annual full power shutdown at the MGHPCC where ORCD systems are housed will occur June 2-4. We will begin to bring our systems down on Monday morning, June 2, at 5AM and plan to have them back up Wednesday, June 4, by the end of the day. As components are brought up they will be made available. We will provide more details on timing as the date gets closer.

Following the MGHPCC power shutdown we will continue to have regularly scheduled maintenance on the third Tuesday of each month. The next scheduled maintenance is Tuesday, June 17.

If you have any questions please send email to orcd-help@mit.edu.

New Engaging GPUs

The public GPUs we wrote about in our April newsletter will be available for use after the MGHPCC annual maintenance full power shutdown completes on June 4. These represent our first tranche, with more to come as they are commissioned and brought online. The ORCD online documentation includes information on what is available.

The upcoming Summer Training activities will include hands-on activities demonstrating ways to use these resources. Questions about how to use resources are always welcome at orcd-help@mit.edu.
